Lessons & Pricing

Every lesson is one hour, one-on-one, in person at Alex’s home studio in Hespeler, Cambridge. $50 per lesson. No registration fees, no minimum number of lessons, no packages. Pay as you go — cash or e-transfer.

Who it’s for

• Ages 14 and up

• Complete beginners — you’ll play a song in lesson one

• Intermediate players who’ve plateaued

• Advanced players working on jazz, improvisation, or a new style

What we can work on

• Your favourite songs, learned properly

• Technique: chords, scales, strumming, fingerpicking

• Improvisation and soloing

• Music theory taught on the guitar, in plain language

• Reading music and ear training

What to bring

Your guitar (acoustic or electric) and a capo if you have one. Amps, stands, and materials are here at the studio. Don’t own a guitar yet? Get in touch before you buy — Alex will point you to the right first guitar for your budget.
